Orcasound press pack

Orcasound is a hydrophone network and an open-source software project focused on listening for Southern Resident Killer Whales and facilitating their recovery from California to Alaska.

You can use the Orcasound web app to listen live to underwater microphones (hydrophones) deployed in the critical habitat of the orcas. The app works in any web browser and allows citizen scientists and artificial intelligence to detect orca sounds and monitor noise pollution that could harm marine life.
